Guest Commodore
Autolite distributors have part numbers like this IGB4005A. There should be a tag on the side of the distributor giving this information.

Guest Commodore
Well, I found this post on a military vehicle forum that gives information on your distributor. The IGB 5 casting mark identifies a housing used by IGW series distributors. Which one I cannot tell at this point.http://g503.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=71870
Guest prs519
1940s Ford military jeep?
Guest Commodore
1940s Ford military jeep?I agree that could be that. I am almost sure that it is a Willys distributor due to the long shaft, but which one that is the problem. Without the tag it is impossible to know.
