HistoryBuff
I was surprised when I read Ford sold this 2003 prototype for the 2005 Ford GT.It's all in this storyhttp://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/why-first-ford-gt-prototype-lives-long-island-140347636.htmlThe story claims the buyer, who calls himself GT Joey, signed an agreement not to drive it over 5 mph. I don't see how that could be legal, once he has it, he has it, hey who's gonna know if he changed the chip? Also the article says it was sold in a "private sale?" What's Ford doing selling stuff privately. Is this story made of whole cloth? And anybody know what he paid? I do know that Ford was absolutely broke by 2003, ironically their centennial year.
