Guest Pops1532
A few years ago I looked into registering my trailers in Maine. I can get a 12 year registration and save a bunch of money over what I'm paying Illinois. Has anyone in IL actually done this with a personally owned trailer? The reason I ask is, I was told that IL will honor the Maine registration on the trailer but I'd have to register the tow vehicle for the combined GVWR of the tow vehicle and trailer. I'm looking for answers from someone with real world experience. Thanks.
R W Burgess
Consider this Pops! What do you do if you rent a trailer from the local "easy rent" store? :confused:Most of their trailers are licensed out of state.
