Guest Mtdial
Hello,I am a family historian trying to identify the individuals in this photo. It may be the earliest photo my family has of my great great grandfather Christoph Dieckhoff. It would go a long way in helping me to identify the individuals in the photo If I could identify the vehicle and therefore get a better idea of when the photo may have been taken. I'm guessing this photo is from the very early 1900s and am 99% sure it was taken in Decatur, IL. My great grandfather Herbert C. Dieckhoff was an early amateur photographer. Any help appreciated! Best wishes,Mike Dial

Brass is Best
The car is a 1915 Ford Model T. It has skirt at the front of the front fender, first year for this. The car also has a brass radiator and headlamp rings. The brass headlamp rings were replaces by black painted steel in 1916.

Dave Mellor NJ
The 15 is also the first year for the formed sheetmetal cowl. 14 was wood. The brass radiator carried over to early 16 so a lot of people put the brass on any 16 or 17.
