Guest professorlunch
Just bought a great old mechanic toolbox from an antique store and it has some old car badges on it. Can anyone help me identify the years on these, and what the heck the knight's helmet is from? Thanks!
keiser31
Top right=1939-41 Plymouth. Lower front right=1933-34 Dodge Brothers. Upper front left=1926 Chevrolet.
dei
The Knights Helmet looks to be a part (broken off?) from a 1958 Buick Limited quarter panel badge unless I'm not seeing it right.Sadly, broken off like that, in as good as any place on that toolbox. Even broken, you should be able to see it on there. The one in question seems to go center front on a grill, maybe.
Sweepspear
The first thing to come to mind with the helmet was a Desoto.
auburnseeker
It could be a kelvinator stove emblem from the 1950's. I think they used a knight head.

nzcarnerd
I guess the 'lmaster' badge is what remains of a Buick Roadmaster.

Anybody know the years or models for the Oldsmobile and the Buick emblems on the lower front?
auburnseeker
The Oldsmobile tag looks like late 30's or early 40's to me. The buick I would say is similar vintage with the V to it. Looks like it goes over a center grille molding and someone flattened it to fit on the box.
auburnseeker
A second thought on the knight head is from a Trojan Boat. I think they made them in the 1950's -early 1960's.
