I was on here a while ago, but things went sideways in my life. Now, I am back. My car is a 1940 Chrysler Windsor C25. I put a 383/727 into it with a 8.75" rear end. Keeping it as much MOPAR as I can (no clue what the seats are out of). It is a continuing build, but getting close to being back on the road. Heads are having hardened seat put in, a new oil pump cover is being fabricated to clear my frame, and my radiator (which was suppose to be here 3 weeks ago) should be here soon. I relocated the battery to the trunk. I built my own lakester style headers, and will be running side pipes under the running boards.

Got my not so custom (they sent me a freaking t-bucket radiator) custom ordered radiator in. After a month being overdue, it came in. The only thing that is correct is the curve of the top tank. Its about 3" shorter, 1" narrower than it was suppose to be. It wasn't suppose to have an inlet, outlet was suppose to be upturned, and the filler was suppose to be front center but they put it on the back and offset to the pass side.

Instead of dealing with the bullshi* to get my money back or order the correct one, I am going to make this one work. I cut the mount up, moved the radiator forward 2", and cut off everything that was wrong. I am going to have the guy who is building my oil pump cover weld aluminum plates over the un-needed holes, and weld my AN fittings and filler into the correct locations (already drilled the holes). By moving it forward, it allowed me to just use a 1.75" 90* hose. I do have to order some 90* AN hose fittings since I wont be able to mount my straight ones as planned. They were suppose to mount to the underside of the extended tank that I requested and drop straight down to allow the hose to go straight from the water manifolds to the radiator. I am using an electric remote mount water pump due to space limitations.

Anyways. These pictures are of the radiator mounted, I am test fitting everything and getting all the sheet metal trimmed to clear the radiator. I will pull the radiator back out either tomorrow or Tuesday and take it to the shop on Wednesday. I will use a pusher fan mounted infront of the radiator and an aux trans cooler mounted just behind the grill instead of the one in the radiator.

Forgot to attach this one. This is the nose, showing where I had to trim some of the sheet metal to allow the corners of the radiator to clear without rubbing. Notice the shiny aluminum. post-99359-143142415146_thumb.jpg
