Even if you could, the metal would end up getting thinned out in those areas and end up burning out after a while. trimacar Posted February 19, 2014 Share Posted February 19, 2014 On brass instruments (and early brass horns!) a person can use steel balls of different diameters, working from the inside to get dents out....don't know if that would work with harder steel, though, would be more difficult for sure...
