I just purchased a 1936 Lincoln Zephyr and today lost my brakes, think it needs fluid but cannot find master cylinder, looked under carpet on drivers side floor, nothing. Can anyone help? John in Tucson

All Zephyrs until '39 used mechanicl brakes, cables ;not rods. Ford,Lincoln, and Mercury went to "juice brakes' in '39. That is except the big "K" Lincoln. Jack it up get under(with jack

stands) and check it out. Better yet, put it up on a lift. "juice "brakes can go out all at once, mechanical will not unless something is blocking the linkage. What shape is the car in ?

Was it sitting outside in the weather? Any more questions ask them, and if not already a member; join The Lincol Zephyr Owners club.. Good Luck
