keiser31
1957 Rambler. Here's a 1956 with a "Continental kit". The 1956s were similar, but had the horizontal stainless on the quarter panel like in the photo here.... Guest Incomundro
Hello keiser31,Thanks so much for your kind assistance.I run a beekeeping history site, and for throwback Thursdays, I thought I'd do a few stories about bees on vintage cars.Swarms land in very strange places.my page is here:https://www.facebook.com/Historical.Honeybee.ArticlesHow about this car with swarm of bees? Any ideaof the make and model? Thanks in advance.

john2dameron
I think I can see the "Super" script on the front fender. l That would make it a '48. The '47 did not have that script.
stexch
I beg to differ. The Super Bee was a Plymouth.

Plymouth had the Roadrunner and GTX "B" body muscle cars. Edited February 3, 2014 by keiser31 (see edit history)
Guest Incomundro
Thanks all for taking the time to help.Am fascinated how you are able to identifythese cars with limited info.I still have a few cars with bees onthem. I know this is a Ford Fairlane, but I am not sure of the year.I owned a 1963 fairlane when I was 16, it looks very similar, but I am not sure of the year. Thanks in advance. After this one, my next pictureonly has only the bumper and bees,so I'm betting I will stump you Thanks in advance! -Joe
oldford
1964 Fairlane, last year for the 260 V8.Frank
Ozstatman
Frank.I thought '64 was the first year for the 289 V8? We had one back about '67, definitely a 289.
oldford
The 289 was offered in the second half of 1964 only. There was a time when both the 260 and the 289 were offered together, then the 260 went away...Frank
