oldhomer27
hello everyone--I am trying to find my 1st car--a 1979 MGB, to see if it is still around. I sold it to a couple in Frederick, MD in the 1984-1985 time frame. I believe they were in the MGB club at that time. It was Vermillion with a gold stripe, overdrive and a luggage rack. The VIN # was GHN5UL 4973456. If anybody can help me I would really appreciate it!Susan
unimogjohn
I had to ask Suzy what color was vermillion. Found out it is orange.
oldhomer27
Jack Long let me know that the last digit of my VIN number is a G and not a 6, so the correct number is GHN5UL 497345G. So if anybody can help me in the search for my old car, please let me know.
Wheelnut
You might want to search the registry at http://www.mgexp.com/registry/browse.php?make=MG&model=MGB&sort=model_year&sortdir=desc&pageID=24Not everyone lists a valid VIN there, but maybe you could spot it from photos and location.
