Tom Burtch
This was with a lot of parts mostly from 1935-1948, so I think it is for an early Lincoln Zephyr. Please pardon me if this is a silly question, but I thought all Zephyr cars had V-12 engines, so does anyone recognize this part? It is about 4 1/2" overall diameter and could be a steering wheel center cap, but not even sure of that, so would appreciate any tips to identify. Thanks, Tom
Bleach
It's actually from an English Ford that was also called a Zephyr. It is from a six cylinder model
John Murphy
Tom; All Lincoln Zephyrs from 1936 thru 1948 were Lincoln 12 cylinder engine powered. Your part is not from anyone of them.
Tom Burtch
Thanks guys. I wasn't thinking that it could be British, but I did recognize some early Ford Prefect parts in the lot, so that makes sense. Good to know that all North American Zephyrs were V-12's. Bleach
A little further research yields that it is from a mid 50's Ford Zephyr Mark I
DSpringer
I had one for awhile while in high school. Hot little car, but the axles broke easily.
