For Sale: 1936 Ford Deluxe Rumble Seat Coupe Restored For Long Distance Touring

1936 Ford 5 Window Deluxe Coupe. This car was accurately restored probably about 20 years ago and has always been maintained and serviced as needed. The car was built for long distance driving and the former owner drove this car on several thousands of trouble free miles. The car has its original engine which was rebuilt during the restoration. It has been fitted with an overdrive (three speeds plus a fourth speed overdrive) transmission, 1940 Ford hydraulic brakes, 12 volt system (hidden alternator inside the stock generator), dual exhaust, turn signals and seat belts. The overdrive transmission was fitted in between the original Ford clutch housing and the original torque tube driveshaft requiring no modifications. It can hardly be detected unless you crawl underneath the car and look above the X-member. Other than that, the car is entirely stock. With the overdrive transmission, the car cruises at 70-75 mph and the hydraulic brakes stop it well at these speeds. The correct Ford-blue paint is extremely nice though out with good overall gloss and hardly any areas of wear. The interior is a period-looking brown mohair and is excellent. The rumble seat is upholstered in the correct pattern and material and is like new. All the gauges work as they should and are very nice. The engine bay is extremely clean and well detailed. The chassis shows the expected signs of road dirt but is not rusted, pitted,damaged or repaired in any way. It could easily be cleaned up if one wanted to. The body is extremely solid with no evidence of damage or repair. The rumble seat pans, floor pans, sills, etc are all original and solid.The overall fit and finish is excellent. This car is an absolute pleasure to drive. It goes down the road straight, shifts easily, brakes reliably and steers with ease. The flathead engine has a great exhaust note to it. It is ready for its next long distance drive. The car is located near Jefferson, Wisconsin and the price is 33,000.00. It has a current and clear title.
