motoringicons
SOLD to a young, first time Full Classic buyer in Australia.1931 Cadillac Series 370 V-12 Sport Phaeton. This is one of the first V-12 Cadillacs built with engine number 1000382 and was shipped in January of 1931. It retains the original, #4760 Fleetwood 4/5 passenger sport phaeton body serial number 6. The car was formerly part of the Zach Brinkerhoff collection in Colorado and has been owned by only two owners during the last 40 years. This is a well presented but older restoration that shows only little signs of use or wear and shows only minimal signs of aging. This phaeton has been stored in a climate controlled, museum type setting for the last several years. The paint is excellent throughout showing only the most minimal signs of of wear. The brown leather interior is also excellent including the door panels, carpets, etc. The chrome is excellent showing hardly any oxidation or wear. The body is extremely tight and solid with good panel fit throughout. The body retains virtually all of its original internal wood pieces which have the Fleetwood script and proper numbers stamped in place. The engine bay and chassis are extremely clean and well detailed. The engine retains its proper carburetors, correct engine pans, etc. The car retains virtually all of the factory accessories including dual side-mounts with correct metal covers, Goddess mascot, stone guard, correct rear luggage rack, etc. It is also fitted with a rear tonneau windshield and dual front driving lights. The car runs and drives well and has been just recently serviced by a noted Cadillac expert. During the recent servicing, the radiator and brakes were rebuilt and four new white wall tires were fitted. The car runs and drives extremely well. The engine is quiet, the transmission is smooth, the brakes and steering are accurate and responsive. The car runs down the road with great power like a twelve cylinder Cadillac should. A rare opportunity to purchase an original and desirable, first generation twelve-cylinder Cadillac that retains all of its original and proper components and has all of the necessary documentation. It is ready to show or tour and really needs nothing. An important opportunity for an astute collector. The price is a very reasonable 189,000.00. The car is located in Kansas City, Kansas and, of course, it is being sold with a clear and current title. Thank you. .<fieldset class="postcontent" style="margin-top: 5px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 5px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-color: initial; word-wrap: break-word; "></fieldset> Edited June 26, 2014 by motoringicons (see edit history)
motoringicons
Price reduced to 184,000.00 or near offers. This car is fully serviced and ready for this season's Caravans and would certainly be a great car to take to the CCCA Museum Experience which is featuring Cadillacs this year!
