Radiators anyone?

Three radiators dug out from one of my storage buildings. Not sure what they are from. Any ideas? Edited December 27, 2013 by Willy

I'm trying, but my computer won't let me put the photos up. I've reduced the sizes to the smallest size (640), and tried it a dozen times, but no dice. Wish I can remember how I did it before!

Okay, got photo up. My guess is the left one is off a Dodge '48-'52; middle one , '36 Ford; right on, possibly a '38-'40 Oldsmobile or Pontiac. Need someone who actually knows, though!

My guess is the last one is earlier than your years stated, because it is the honeycomb variety, which I believe were more common, early thirties on back. A 1936 or 35 Ford radiator is remarkably heavy. I am thinking you may have a 1935: all of what I say is very conjectural.

Photos of the back sides may help.

That center one is a Ford V8. It will have 4 pipes. If the top two are heading downward it is 35-36. If more backward it is 37-38. The outlets moved to the centers of the head in 37.

Thanks, Dave! Now, next question - is this worth saving, or is it scrap? I would also like to find out what the one on the right is, and if it's worth saving.

It's certainly not scrap. I would post on the V8 forum of Fordbarn and ask for an opinion or just set a price,around $200.It should also fit a 39 Standard but not DeLuxe.

Thanks Dave - I would like to get rid of it, but not scrapping it out, if it's usuable. One down, two to go!

The one to the right is a '30s GM maybe Chevrolet as it looks like my 1936. Even if the cores are deemed junk the tanks might be usable for recoring.
