Guest Gshort
My first post; please bear with me.Restoring convertible coupe, drove the car twelve months ago and had about 20-25 psi on an auxiliary oil pressure gauge. Two months ago I drove it again and the pressure appears minimal. Can this be adjusted by the fitting adjacent to the distributor? Suggestions? Thanks. Guest Gshort
Have oil pressure now; about 40 psi at moderate idle.Final fix included cleaning regulator cylinder and piston of muck, stretching the spring slightly from 7/8" to 1-1/16" and changing oil - again. Thanks for the help.
f147pu
According to the owner's manual the pressure should be set at 35 lbs at 32 mph with the oil at room temperature. It is not a real high pressure system.
