A Super Sharp and Ready to Enjoy 1949 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan

1949 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan. This car was sold new in Albany, New York and remained in that area until last year. It has had either 3 or 4 owners from new. The mileage shown is about 84,600 which is believed to be original. This is an exceptional original car that has been well maintained and cared for and today shows and drives extremely well. When the current owner's father bought the car about four years ago, he replaced the interior and fully serviced the chassis including new tires, etc. This past year, a new starter was installed as well. The car runs and drives superbly. The engine is whisper quiet, the automatic transmission is smooth, the brakes operate well and it steers nicely. The body is super solid and straight with crisp contour lines and even gaps and margins on all of the doors, deck lid and hood. The Avalon Metallic Gray paint is believed to be mostly original and shows extremely well with the exception of some slight discoloration on the rear fenders which could easily be touched up if desired. The chrome and stainless trim accents are extremely nice including the grill, bumpers, side moldings, etc. The glass is nice and clear. The dashboard is extremely clean and all of the gauges are clear. The garnish moldings, etc are original and well preserved. The car needs a few small repairs such as the horn does not work, one turn signal is out, the clock doesn't work, nor does the heater. The charging system works well although the ammeter does not seem to register. The headlamps, taillamps, brake lights and other gauges appear to work fine. The engine bay is nice and clean and the chassis is clean as well. The trunk compartment is very nice and the car has its jack, spare tire, and a few manuals. This car is a real pleasure to drive and it certainly presents well inside and out. The price is 14,000.00. The car is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan and has a clear and current Michigan title.
