Hand Horn - Automotive?

Can anyone identify this hand operated horn. The nameplate states that it is a S.A. Laboratories Hand Horn Series No. 2 Brooklyn NY USA.

Is it automotive or maybe from a motorbike. Any idea if its era?

1910s or early 20s proberly MC.

I had one very similar with a round knob not a "T" handle, it sounded like a duck.

Yes it sounds just like a duck!! I thought it might have been used in a factory situation at start and finish work times.

It came to light during a garage clean out.

These horns were used on early trucks, usually pre- 1920. Before generators or even batteries. Power for plugs was from a magneto. Hand crank start. Lighting was gas and/or kerosene. Horns were mechanical. Cars of that era would have polished brass "bulb horns", cheaper cars did have painted mechanical horns too. The "T" handle appears to be welded on at a later date.
