Guest Ray RI
I've recently come across what I believe is a 1951 Pontiac Sedan Delivery wagon. The car is all original tho in somewhat sad shape since it's been sitting I think since the late 60's. It is, I'd say, 90% complete. It has a flat head 6 cyl. in it with a 3 speed manual trans. What I was wondering is this: (1) How rare are these cars, (2) What would it be worth as a parts car or as something restorable, and (3) How desirable are they? I am not a Pontiac person myself but I am trying to find out this info for someone who is in the next few months going to be settling an estate and has no knowledge of old cars. I personally do not want to see it go to scrap if I can help it so any help from the folks here would be appreciated. I do have a couple of pics of the car from a few years ago but I have to find them.
PONTIAC1953
sedan deliveries are the rarest of pontiac models, they are very much desirable by old pontiac nuts. in the last year of production here in the states 1953, pontiac only built 468 sedan deliveries. charles coker, 1953 pontiac tech advisor. Guest Ray RI
Thanks for the info. Still looking for the pics of it that I have. Will post as soon as I can and maybe someone can determine an approximate value on the car.
