Update: 6/11/2014. The owner's of this car have decided to keep it. Currently, it is no longer available for sale. Thank you to those who inquired.

This 1941 Oldsmobile Dynamic Cruiser 78 Sedan was part of the Richard and Linda Kughn Collection of Detroit. The car was purchased from the Kughn collection by the past owner in 2002 and retained by him until he died a few months ago. Upon purchasing this mostly original vehicle, the former owner embarked on a no-expense spared mechanical refurbishment and an extensive cosmetic detailing. The car was used regulary but sparingingly, always maintained and always properly cared for.

The car shows approximately 49,000 miles which based on its condition are mostly likely to be original. The body is laser straight front to back, top to bottom. The door and panel fit is excellent. The body lines and details are crisp and clean. The car was likely repainted many years ago and the paint is in excellent condition and appears near new thanks to a recent color sand and polish. The black shows extremely well throughout with even gloss with no flat areas and no underlying body repair issues. The doors open and close like those of a bank vault and the door jams and rockers appear to be in original, glossy paint. The door sills are excellent and retain their original aluminum trim plates which show hardly any wear. The exterior chrome and stainless trim items are in very good to excellent original condition. The glass is original and very nice and all of the windows operate as they should. There is a bit of fogging evident on the rear window. The interior on this Oldsmobile is really superb. It is basically original although it appears the seats were recovered in the proper tan-striped broadcloth and today are excellent. The door panels, headliner, rear bulk head, etc are original and well preserved in excellent, original condition. The dashboard and garnish moldings are original and extremely clean with the exception of some light fading on top of the dash itself. The gauges are crisp and clear. They operate as they should with the exception of the ammeter, although a modern, operating replacement ammeter has been discreetly located under the dash. The steering wheel and other controls are nice and clean and show hardly any wear.

Mechanically, the car has been recently and runs and drives great. The engine starts easily and accelerates smoothly. The Hydra-matic transmission shifts smoothly and quietly. The brakes and steering are tight and responsive. The car drives down the road with a tight and solid feel without creaks or rattles. All of the lights work, the horn works as well but is wired through another button under the dashboard. The car is well equipped with a radio, clock, and heater bumper guards, curb feelers, etc. The white wall tires appear to be newer and in very good condition. The engine bay is very clean and still retains its original engine pans. The firewall is in mostly original paint and retains its original ID and trim plates. The chassis is rock solid and still exhibits alot of original paint. This is an extremely clean and impressive four door sedan that is ready to use and enjoy.

The price is 16,500.00 and the car is located near Ann Arbor, Michigan. Email: motoringicons@hotmail.com or call 734-730-4274 to schedule a viewing and test drive, or for more photos and information. Thank you.
