will 50 royal doors fit on a 51 windsor deluxe?

I read somewhere they were different...but now i cant find where i read it....so I figured I should ask the experts here...

Will the doors off a 50 royal fit a 51 windsor deluxe traveler?

There was a major redesign of the 1950 body for 1951. This had to do with fitting the much wider V8. The front of the body was widened, the car got a complete new front end, windshield, and front doors.

The rear doors may interchange.

Thanks for the info. Are the windows in the doors different, too? We did notice the rear window differences. How the windows are much bigger in the 51 back window..we prefer the 51 look. Was that to see better? We dont need any body parts for the traveler right now...but we may later if some bonehead hits us or something...lol We dont want to get rid of anything we may b able to use.

I recall replacing the windows in a 52 New Yorker with those from a 50 DeSoto, so I will say the door windows will interchange.

More glass area was one of the trends of the fifties. It seems whenever they restyled a car they made the windows bigger.

Ok...they look alike...but we will measure.

Well. I like more windowin this case...but some...like the bubbletops...ugh....not so appealing to me.

According to Hollander Interchange doors on a 4 door 1950 Chrysler do not interchange with a 1951. However, certain 51 thru 54 Chrysler and Desoto doors interchange.
