Bluejeepnut
I am looking at a 1925 Chrysler Four coupe. Instead of the windshield pushing out at the bottom for ventilation; it cranks up vertically about 2-3 inches. What is original to the car?Thank you! vintchry
If you have a Fisher body the windshield is cranked up. Generally the shaft for the winder handle on non-GM bodies is square as opposed to the round serrated style found on GM cars. There is a guy in MO that rebuilds these units primarily for GM cars but has done the non-GM style for me before. He puts in new die-cast gears and does a nice job. Look in Hemmings or the Chevrolet side of this forum for address and name. Rob hattiesgarage@comcast.net
