post-31810-143142209038_thumb.jpgIf you're headed to Hershey this fall, and you're a Hudson enthusiast, you'll find several activities in or near Hershey to interest you.

The H-E-T Club maintains a booth in the Red Field of the flea market and welcomes all Hudson lovers, Club members or not. Here, Hudsonites can socialize with fellow enthusiasts while relaxing in easy chairs and enjoying coffee and doughnuts. There's a bulletin board for messages, and one can temporarily park those bulky flea market "finds" behind the counter, instead of lugging them around all day. Copies of the White Triangle News are given to prospective members, and membership applications and renewals are accepted. We usually have two fine Hudson products of various eras (which include Essex and Terraplane cars!) on display at the booth. So even if you are only curious about Hudsons, stop by and learn more about them! It all happens at space RNE 24-25, on the ''highway side'' of the Hersheypark Stadium (the older stadium' at the opposite end of the flea market from the new Giant Stadium).

Near Carlisle, about 30 miles west of Hershey, many Hudsonites stay at the Quality Inn at 1255 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, PA 17013. The motel is on Route 11, one block west of its intersection with Interstate 81. The exit is 52 (going south) or 52B (going north).

A Hudson hospitality room, just off the motel’s front lobby, is open on Friday after 4:00 P.M. and on Saturday afternoon and evening. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

At 6:00 PM on Saturday evening, October 12, a dinner gathering for Hudson enthusiasts will take place in a private room at Hoss' Family Steak & Sea restaurant, 1151 Harrisburg Pike, a short distance west of the motel. Reservations are not required and each party will order "off the menu". Last year 42 Hudsonites attended. Enjoy dinner at a reasonable price, and meet some of your fellow Hudson hobbyists!

On Sunday morning, Oct. 13, an all-Hudson flea market will take place in the Quality Inn's rear parking lot from 7:00 A.M. to noon. There is no charge to vendors and no pre-registration is necessary. Hudsonites are invited to bring their excess accumulations of Hudson parts to sell.
