1936 Ford Sedan Delivery. This is a rare, original sedan delivery that spent basically its who life in California. It's last owner was a major Ford V8 collector who restored the car to be a great and reliable driver with subtle modifications that did not compromise the original car and could be easily returned to original if desired. The body is an original sedan delivery body-one of very few made during 1936 and one of even fewer surviving today. It retains all of its unique and correct sedan delivery components including the rear bumper assembly and spare tire carrier. The body is in excellent condition with and shows no signs of damage or repair. The fenders are also excellent and are just as clean on the bottom as on the top. The car is painted a period correct Ford beige and the paint is in excellent condition showing hardly any signs of wear. The chrome has been re-plated and remains in excellent condition with the exception of the rear bumper which should be replated. The interior is correctly restored and is in excellent condition as well. Mechanically, the car was completely rebuilt front to back. The engine is a rebuilt 59AB flathead that starts easily, idles well, does not smoke or overheat and runs like a good Ford flathead should. It has been modified with an electronic ignition, headers and a high torque, 12 volt starter. The original chassis was fitted with new Posies front and rear springs and 15" radial tires. To stop the car, the brakes have been converted to hydraulic. This car has always been well maintained since the restoration was completed and runs and drives superbly.
