2nd owner of red 1964 Buick Skylark convertible hoping to find someone to enjoy the car like it should be. The original mileage on the original Wildcat 310 V8 motor is 134,304. The original paint is in "ok" condition, showing various scratches, chips and fading, but has never been touched up. The original top is showing some wear around the edges and a small crack near the back glass on the passenger side, but still goes down and up just fine. The wipers work, but the washer is not connected because when both were hooked up the washer squirted non-stop while the wipers were on. As with most old cars there is an occassional oil or transmission fluid drip, but I've never had to add fluid to either one. The chrome and interior are in great condition. I have had the following work done since obtaining the car in 2007:

- new rubber around both doors, all windows and trunk

- new top motor and bleed system

- new well liner

- new trunk mat

- new front shocks

- replaced any worn hoses

- new tires (less than 1000 miles on them)

The original boot cover for the top as well as owners manuals and sales sticker are included. If you'd like to see more pics, or see the car yourself please contact me by email at smllakbum@embarqmail.com or at 540-580-1076. $12,500 or best offer. Car is located in Hardy, VA.

Just wanted to close this out. My friend and Corvette car guy just bought the 64 Skylark. He drove down with my trailer to pick it up yesterday. Last night we got the chance to go look it over. It is a gorgeous survivor. Wayne will leave it stock, but he is already getting ready to do some needed maintenance. He is going to change plugs, ignition system, intake gasket (rear is leaking), rebuild the carb, and put on new springs and shocks in the rear. He is excited at owning his first Buick. Best of all, there is absolutely no rust on the car. Here are the pics I took.

Thanks so much for posting the pics! I was hoping that I'd be able to sell her to someone that would take care of her and I feel very fortunate that it worked out that way. I'm excited to see her transformation back to her former glory. Here's a pic I found from June 1964.

Wayne, worked hard on her all day Saturday cleaning the engine bay, and yesterday he took it to a "Cars and Coffee" event near us. It got a lot of admirers. He was also very happy at the way it ran and sprinted down the freeway. Yes, he had the top down.

Your car will have a great time with Wayne. He treats all his cars to everything imaginable, and he is a stickler for perfection and making things right.

I will send the pic to him too.
