Correct leather grain for around 1930, any vendors

Recommended Posts

As I am in the process of ordering leather for the 1929 Chrysler Series 65 restoration, I thought I should search for the most correct leather to put in there. Might it be leather without any grain, or possibly like this coarse pattern that I have from a 1929 "parts seat":

As comparison I have the two samples here, the black is modern chemically/pressure colored with a barely visible grain, whilst the red is again with little grain however remanufactured in Germany by old methods to mimic the 60s Roser leather (typically Mercedes-Benz) that also has more gloss that modern leather:

Anyone with ideas for the correct type of grain and leather and any vendor for this?
