Door striker adjustment

Do you know if the door strikers have any room for adjustments? My door can be pushed in a bit, and there seems to have a bit of play when closed.

The striker plate is adjustable. Just loosen the 3 attaching screws and you can move it up, down, in, or out. Of course, if your car has ever been in an accident or if the hinges are worn it will affect how the door closes. Hopefully that is not the case in your situation. On my car I had some more to do because the car had been in an accident on the drivers side. Although they did a pretty good job of fixing it the door did not close the same way as it does on the passenger side. It took a lot of adjustment to get it right.

Thanks Birdman. I was able to adjust it quite easily. I think got it about 95% perfect in a just a few minutes. Yes, you're right, who knows all the history of these cars. It's likely they have been in some sort of accident in their past.
