Hi Scott thanks for the information, wkend didn't go to plan sorry. Regarding the difference in the 'B' hole position which is the locking hole I can play that by ear and put it in during assembly.

Hi Scott

Thanks.

Parts that will be for sale when I know what they are.

Dave I think you will find the cast brackets have pt. No. as mine below, have not checked the parts book but the Nos. are 612782/3

These brackets are reproduction and they do have the numbers in them.

612782-612783-they are hard to read.

1933 Ply coupe and roadster the same for these brackets? I know sedans are different.

Thank you for the info.

Tom and Dave--

Checked all my part books. Trunk rack brackets, right (612782) and left (612783) are listed for 'coupe' in 'enamel' finish. They are shown as being on Plymouth PC coupes, US built, after #1804333; 1933 Plymouth PD coupe; 1933 Dodge DP coupe; 1934 Plymouth PF coupe. Looks like you have just the right set for your coupe. Hello 34

Same here driving a 10 car hauler with 4 million miles under my belt. Meet a lot of neat car people including delivering and picking up for Mike that owns Dodge City Vintage until his passing 3 years ago. Started hauling for him in 95 when I picked up a one of a kind 68 Cuda that he still owns from Detroit MI. Wish I had given more attention to Mike and his customers over the years because now we run DCV. The 33-34-Dodges and Ply drop tops are my favorite along with the 33 to 38 trucks. Give us a call if you need parts. Have about 10 customers that have these cars mentioned above. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks gents, missed this post, my PD was factory fitted with side mounts but along the way pre 1970 the covers got lost. Next between 1978 and 2002 the side irons went the same way, the photo below was taken in 1970 showing the irons and artillery wheels fitted. I shipped in a load of parts end of 2014 with all the bits to complete the PD and enough to give me a head start on my PE Pickup.

After a break on this PD I've picked up in readiness to fit the body back to the frame, my paint shop have suggested that I mount the body about 6" above the frame to make their job easier and save me some money. While getting it ready for the lift I have noticed a stamped # on the firewall can someone decode it for me, #25194 this is positioned in line with the coil to the right.

Tom--Those firewall stamped numbers show up on the coupes and convertible coupes and apparently were a body factory numerical run number.  Don't, as far as I know, match up with the engine or body serial numbers.  Have never seen them on the 4 door sedans and I have never had a 2-door so I don't know about those.

Thanks Scott had a feeling that was the case the old memory lets me down at times, on the 34 found the frame/engine # but of course that does me no good with serial # with historical records, that was one of those strange occurrences where the title used the engine # + the yr for the serial #.

Any progress on your 34 Dodge?

Tom--

Not much progress on the Dodge coupe, just collecting a few missing parts for the eventual tune up/brake job/etc.  I know is needed before putting it back on the road.  My father is aging and I am pledging to get my 34 PE convertible completed while he can still enjoy it with me, so any spare time I have had has gone into that one, finishing up the frame plumbing, etc.  Still working for a living so that leaves me not a lot of time, but like most of us I do what I can.  Glad to see yours are still progressing.  SMB

Slowly getting this old girl ready for paint, problem here in the UK is space which I have very little of, all the time it's not used it will be parked close to other projects and that's when it will get knocked. Am looking for a decent photo of a serial number plate, I have the number and build card but the last owner took the plate off and can't find it, all I have is the 2 holes and a witness of the outline. Not sure if these plates changed size and style over the years, our licencing agency require photographic evidence of this and the engine number before issuing UK registration, any help would be good. Thanks
