It certainly looks like a Franklin - 1914 I think, the first year of left hand drive. Note the full elliptic front springs, the manner in which the crank handle is tied off to one side etc. The only thing missing are the 'lips' from the front edges of the front fenders.

Hi,

Not a Renault. The scuttle bonnet (hood) was a common European feature 1900-1904ish. Renaults had either a scuttle rad or two external rads running along each side of the bonnet. We have looked at this car and have not found any to match. In fact, a similar car is in one of the most knowledgeable UK auto historians 'unknown' file; so an ID would be great!!
