West Peterson
1940 Lincoln-Zephyr four-door sedan, Model 73, with original 292cid/120bhp V-12 engine & Columbia 2-speed rear axle. This Zephyr was owned by the same family in Pasadena, Calif. for over 50 years, then sold to a Michigan collector who spent $54,000 at Brian Joseph's shop in Troy, Michigan for upgrades including new paint, re-chroming, adding modern air-conditioning and power brakes and even a rear window brake light. The original upholstery is too good to change and the mileage is still under 26,000 miles! We bought this car in May 1998 and drove it to Atlanta where it has resided since. $37,500. jim43
A good looking car for sure. I looks identical to one I sold about 12 years ago, color and everything except..........the floor shift. I didn't know they were available with a floor shift in 1940. Mine was column shift with a Columbia rear end. Jim43
West Peterson
I'm confused by the year of the car. It's either a 1940 or '41. Notice it has parking lights on both the tops of the fenders and in the headlight doors. I'll get more information today. Sorry.
