what year chrysler ?

when I was young (long time a go) I saw a guy pulling this old car down the road trying to start it. to make a long story short a few years later I found this car parked in the bush beside a park and ended up making a deal for it. After dragging it home and messing around with it I finally got it to run and have hauled it around with us whenever we moved. when I bought the car I was told it was a 28 or 29 chrysler coupe. It has the chrysler emblem on the rad and the rumble seat space but that part is long gone. it has factory (option ?)wire spoke rims with 18 inch tires. rims are 7 bolt. has 6 cylinder flathead motor. i have looked long and hard but cannot find any serial number or tag anywhere on body or frame. would like to know for sure what year and style I have. any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. tks.

The serial number will be in the center of the dashboard in the form of what is called a "FEDCO" plate. Do you have a photo of it? It will look similar to these..

I think 18 inch wire wheels with seven studs only appeared on two models, so that will make it a 1928/29 Chrysler 75 or 1929/30 Chrysler 77.

The serial number on the motor will tell you the year and model.

The number is located on the left side just behind the water pump.

It is stamped in and will start with a letter (H, M, P, E, L) that tells what model the numbers are the sequence.
