1949 New Yorker fan shroud

Can anyone tell me if the C46 chryslers had a fan shroud. There are three mounting tabs on the inside of the radiator,

if not for mounting a fan shroud than what are they for ? My manual makes no reference to a shroud, but I have seen

what looks like a shroud in photos of other New Yorkers. Any help would be greatly appreciated

All straight eight chryslers used a fan shroud for 1946-50. 1949-50 "8" are the same shroud. I take it yours is missing?

I would think fairly common. There is a project car seller I know of in Newton Iowa with about 3-4 1949 New Yorker sedans not worth restoring but full of parts. i am 99% sure he would sell a fan shroud and I need to go visit him soon. I can check.

Note my cars - I own a 49 New Yorker 2nd series that is a complete survivor but can't remember fan shroud status off hand.
