Air-Cooled Marmon

Air cooled Marmons were built from 1904 to 1908. I do not have total production but believe it to be in the hundreds with most of them made from 1906 to 1908. They started out building cars sort of as a hobby for their friends and neighbors (rich ones). They were rather exotic mechanically with such features as full pressure lubrication and double three point suspension which was basically two frames. It seems as if the early days were more for obtaining patents than building a whole lot of cars. They built mostly V4s which were as reliable as franklins. They also used cast aluminum bodies. For more information try to find a copy of "The Marmon Heritage".
