Seat Springs

I'm thinking about tackling my interior now that it's getting colder. The rear seat in my '47 LCC looks like it spent most of the century underwater, so it's gonna need a lot of work. I think the frame has enough steel enough to cut out the rust and weld it back up, but the springs are a different story. I've sourced out complete sets for Model As and Ts, but I'm not really happy spending $300 on a set that won't fit. Does anyone know where I can get these individually so I can make my own?

Thanks. I was hoping to try some repairs before I had to go buy a while new set. Merv is my fall-back when I get some money together.

If you have the time, but not the money, a trip to the local U-Pull-It might yield a back seat of similar dimensions you could take the springs from and put in the Lincoln seat frame. If you are having an upholster do the job, he could fix the springs while he is at it.

Thanks guys. I didn't consider the junkyard. I guess I figured that most later models all use the zig-zag springs rather than the coils, so they wouldn't transfer. This is just my back seat, so I'M playing with the idea of just replacing all the internals with HD foam and covering it from there.
