I have read in the past where you unhook the feed line to the radiator cooler and while engine is idling you let the old fluid pump into a bucket until it starts to spit. Then pull the pan and change filter, gasket and pour in 6 or so quarts (after hooking up the Radiator cooler) let it idle for a minute then pour in a quart or two and check level until you get close to full cold. Warm it up then top off at the full hot mark.

How much damage can you do to the pump, transmission internals, etc by doing it this way. My thinking is to find a shop that has the equipment to change all the fluid. HELP!
