Guest 56Tbird
Have any of you converted your bird to power brakes? Do you have a kit you recommend?
1957Birdman
I've not done it myself, but it is a pretty easy conversion because the parts are all bolt-on. Most of the T-Bird parts suppliers such as CASCO, Prestige Thunderbird, and Concours Auto Parts carrry the kits. They run about $600 and are exactly as original. Guest mjwood
I have installed a 4 wheel disc kit, non OEM type conversion. Required relocation of the battery.
Guest Beauxgus
I had a mechanic put on the four wheel disc brakes from ABS Power Brake www.abspowerbrake.com and he used Control Cables Inc in Santa Fe Springs, CA for the other parts needed. What was supposed to be plug and play required a little more surgery and replacement wheels since the clearance of the original wheels didn't match. Mine is a '57. Good luck.
