pughs
I am once again working on my Milburn after a long hiatus. According to the Milburn owners manual, the head and inside lights are 40 volt 15 watt G-10 Mazda bulbs. The tail light is 40 volt 4 candle power Carbon bulbs. All bulbs on the Milburn have the "Ediswan" base. The Ediswan base looks like a regular bayonet base with two pins sticking out, one on either side. Does anyone know of a source for these 40 volt bulbs? Thanks.Steve
johnworden1
I think Restoration Supply in Ca. offered them in the catalog. John

johnworden1
I gave up on finding 40 v bulbs. I configured the system to accommodate 6 volt bulbs.
70sWagoneers
I also found http://www.donsbulbs.com/cgi-bin/r/t.pl?searchb=48v+ba15d&bclick.x=0&bclick.y=0 The previous owner of my Detroit Electric had rigged wires to run all auxilliary on 6volts, but had also installed a 6volt horn, 6v wiper, and 6v/12v duolamp tail lamp. So Ive restored all the lighting (headlamps, interior, tail lamp) to 48volt with 48volt bulbs. Then I wired the horn and wiper to 6v with seperate fuses. I hopefully found the one 48v light bulb short enough to fit in the duolamp (in the mail).
