The gathering, whose theme is "Ragtops and Roadsters", will run from Tuesday, July 24 through Saturday, July 28 at the Wyndham Gettysburg hotel, 95 Presidential Circle, in the Gateway Gettysburg campus at the intersection of routes 15 and 30 just east of Gettysburg.

The meet promises to be well attended: by mid-July, pre-registered attendance stood at 200 cars, with 365 families or individuals registered. Planned activities include a flea market, several tech sessions, bus tours to areas of national historic as well as Hudson interest, the Club's annual business meeting, and a number of get-togethers by groups within the Club.

The public is welcome to view the antique cars, although no formal car show is scheduled. The best opportunities for "Hudson spotting" should be Thursday and Saturday, since most activities on those days will take place in the immediate vicinity. The H-E-T Club will maintain an information trailer in the parking lot near the cars, where visitors can learn more about Hudsons.

This is the 53rd National Meet of the H-E-T Club, which has over 3,000 members worldwide. The H-E-T was established in 1959 for the purpose of preserving Hudson, Essex and Terraplane cars and trucks -- all nameplates made by the Hudson Motor Car Company of Detroit, Michigan from 1909 - 1954, whose successor, the American Motors Corporation, continued making Hudsons through 1957.

Organizers of the meet maintain an information site on the Internet, at PA Dutch, HET .
