here's two real nice pictures from 1953 and 1954, a new 1953 pontiac chieftain custom catalina sits surrounded by flower baskets in a small one car pontiac showroom, the big window has a neon sign advertising "GM HYDRA-MATIC DRIVE", the 1954 NASH all weather eye air conditioning school in milwaukee, wis. may 5, 1954. i believe that this was the first class held to educate nash dealer mechanics with nash's brand new factory air conditioning. charles coker, 1953 pontiac tech advisor.
