Waldren
I need the pattern for the front bow sheet metal extension. I have done Continental tops since the 50's and this is the first time I have missed the front metal piece. There are four parts cars here and they all are missing that metal piece. Ed Pease says he dosen't have any front his are all rear convertible window pieses. I also have a Zephry and it is missing on it. I believe it is the same part.Lee Waldren Fort Myers, Fl. Mssr. Bwatoe
What exactly do you need?? I would call J Roll's son in Ohio..He seemed to have patterns and measyurements beyond belief..but Jim Zephyr has a 46 cab here, bows are a big maybe , but I will look tomorrow..My 40 has a metal "strap" wood screwed into bow, and a metal channel for weatherstrip..what should I look for?? Waldren
The piece you are calling a strap wood screwed to front bow sounds like what I'm talking about. It is the front edge of the top, the binding fits tight to it and is the front finish. It curves around 1 inch anda half and the screw and washer goes into it to fiinish the top. The weatherstrip then cements behind it for the seal. Lee
Tom_Overfield
I am off the the LZOC meet this morning Lee but when I return I will check as I think I have what you need. I can make a pattern off of it easily enough.Tom
