I am helping a friend with several cars that were left to her by her father. Her dad collected several cars but never really told her why he had them. She know that he bought each because of some special quality but what that is she doesnt know. Can anyone tell me how to find out more about one of these? Its a 1972 Lincoln Continental Mark IV VIN 2Y89A75243 2 door with 41880 miles and engine ID 429-460 V8. Its in excellent condition.

The Lincoln Mk IV is representative of an era of world dominance in style and manufacturing...the Lincoln Continental is iconic in a way that used to show American style and quality... It was the modern interpretation of "road art" at it's finest..Now, you might say that a lexus or Bmw might fit the bill... The car has value which is rising as time passes..but the generation that likes that land boat is not buying but selling their treasures..and hoping the younger generation "gets it"..mpost dont..add this 6 mpg tank to the relics of dusty garages and museums..but it is the nicest model before the huge stick out bumpers the fed gvt demanded a few years later were added... chk the websight for lcoc continental owners club..they will love and admire it!
