pvstudebak
Please help identify the car in the photo. I know the picture is not very good and is the only one I have. It is my grandfathers car taken about 1921 Thanks for any help.
Craig Gillingham
This is a tough one. T model Ford, perhaps? I can see it has 12 spoke wheels, and a coilbox on the dash.
nzcarnerd
I think it is a T. You can see the links that hold the front axle and there is no sign of the normal semi elliptic springs seen on most cars. Looks to have no tyres on the wheels. Probably a very early Model T - maybe 1909 or 1910??
Layden B
I agree with the Model T Ford but I don't see a brass radiator. A steel shell radiator and curved front fender would make it 1917 and later. No demountable rims would be consistent with the approximate 1921 photo date as they were introduced in 1919 as an option and this seems to be a used car. The non-factory body was common as Ford sold bare chassis for aftermarket suppliers to produce what the customer needed.

nzcarnerd
It is too short in the hood to be an IHC MW. The IHC also had semi elliptic springs which are not on this vehicle and a different profile to the front fenders. Still reckon it is a T. Needs an expert to pick the year. Can't see enough of the chassis to pick whether it is a TT truck or a standard chassis.
