Brad in Wisconsin
You guys have been so helpful with my Topeka/Ford Tractor/truck, and I have another question. I'm in search of a rear axle to replace the sixties GM car rear axle that is currently in my tractor/truck,with an appropriate truck axle from the era of the machine. You guys have said it is the mid fifties. I'm sending 2 pics. to show what I have and what I need. Please note that the purple/yellow tractor has 5 hole front wheels and mind has 8 on the front. Do I need a 3/4 ,1,or a 1 1/2 ton truck axle???????? Please refer to my earlier post as some pictures there might be of help. Thanks to all!!!!!!!!!!! Brad in Wisconsin
I went looking for rear axles from Fords of the era. I found a 56 1 ton that had a different style of spring hangers and a 46 that has a similar set up but heavier i.e. wider springs. anyone got a 52 to 54 ford truck to look at the rear axle??????? I've contacted the Yahoo group and the old tractor forum...Brad
