Deciphering serial number

I am a member of a local chapter of the NRHS. We recently aquired what we were told was either 1935 or 1937 1 1/2 ton Dodge Railway Express Agency delivery truck. A box truck basically. The only portion of the factory truck body is the front end, grill, hood and the cowl area. Then from the windshield area up and back the body was all customized with sliding doors and the large box. I'm needing information on deciphering the serial numbers to determine the actual year it is. The only numbers we have found are located on the passenger side of the firewall on 2 separate tags and they are as follows:

8279512 RE 32

9500lbs

Then on a small oval tag under the above large square tag:

K-3-0-LR 9616

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

Ok here's 2 and i'll try to find a few better ones

Very cool truck! Having the wheelbase length would help narrow down the search.

(Measure from center of front hub to center of rear hub).

There's a '41 Ford REA truck offered on ebay now with a similar body.

Plus a '40 Ford REA truck from a CA movie car company.

The next thing is to find out who made the bodies; based on the design of an

early-'50's Chevy shown here,

it may be Montpelier.

Here's another, a '35 Dodge from a show index in 2002. I'm amazed at the number

that seem to have survived.

If you are sure it is either a '35 or a '37, the grille and fender say it's a '37.

There is no doubt in my mind that it is a 1937.

It's gotta be a VERY early 1938 with that 1937 grille.

My 1938 RE31 has the same grill, so I would say it's indeed a '38.

What is the serial number on the engine? There should also be casting dates on the head, block and the underside of the exhaust manifold.
