TG57Roadmaster
As with Forrest Gump's proverbial box of chocolates, got some nice things courtesy of the AACA Museum's Silent Auction this year in Philly. There were five forlorn copies of 1958 Fortune magazines in pretty tatty condition that I picked up for 20 clams, knowing the ads within would be okay. Leafed through them briefly during the auction, but didn't really get into 'em till two days ago. I'd seen the '58 Olds Super 88 Fiesta wagon ad while we were there, but the other two were real surprizes (the last was jaw-dropping), and more than worth the effort!Larger, a nifty '58 Olds Fiesta.Larger, the regal '58 Ghia Crown Imperial, an ad I've seen but did not have.Larger, like it says, the Distinguished Eldorado Brougham. Been collectingads for a lotta years, and didn't know this one even existed! There were many other car & transport ads, too, but these three were tops. For me, the Museum's auction was (and the entire meeting), priceless!TG Edited March 2, 2012 by TG57Roadmaster (see edit history)
