auburnseeker
I have an NOS bumper Guard I can't seem to pin down. It's very unique and with the red striping would lend the design period of 1938-1946 from what I can find. Looks extremely close to a 1939 Chrysler but they have a through bolt. It came with Mopar parts. It also hooks to a tie bar which suggests it's a LH front guard.

auburnseeker
I searched GMC trucks all over the web after you mentioned it and couldn't find one with a guard like this. Actually almost none of them had guards as 99 percent were hot rodded. Where did you see the one that made you think GMC? Thanks for the help, Randy
mribbich@wi.rr.com
I am thinking Chevys in the late 30s to 40s just a guess.Marv.
john hanson
I have a pair almost like them and some body told me they were late 40s GMC. If they Mine wasn,t bured i would get them out and check. Your,s look like they might be for a smaller bumperJohn Hanson
auburnseeker
The Guard is 12 inches tall and fits a bumper face bar of about 5 and 3/4 inches tall overall not measured along the curve. I'll do some more GMC research. I have super good picture and parts books and have ruled out most normal and even independent makes but it doesn't cover trucks so that might be the right direction. auburnseeker
Thank you very much. I hate having mystery parts. Especially when they are this nice. I had no luck trying to find a photo on my own. That photo helps, Randy
