oldcar
LarryWrong on both counts! It is not 1936 and it certainly is not an Auburn boat tail or anything else. It is not even a good counterfeit.oldcar.
larry
Well, that is certainly strange. According to the Vantage Auto Works of Palm Beach, Florida brochure who produced the replica in 1981, that is exactly what it is.
Guest brian j
????? What the heck was that, Larry????? It certainly looks Auburnish. I saw one just like it in an ad sitting outdoors, falling apart, badly in need of resto for $10K. It was a coupe however, and i believe it was an original. I think the guy down under may have missed the word "replica", and thought you were trying to pass it off as an original 1936. It certainly isn't a Batmobile, or a Lamborgini. It has to at least be a "something else" LOL.
larry
Well, it is not an original, it is a replica and there is one on a classic car dealers showroom floor exactly like it only a different color, built by the same company. Their price is $55,000 with a lot more miles on the car

larry
It is definately not one of those. #1, the frame is not a VW frame and #2 it is equipped with a turbo Corvette engine
Bleach
Sorry for the pun Larry. I know it really doesn't. I just couldn't resist a little jab.I remember seeing one of these at a car show back in the 80's. These retro cars were all the rage then.
