Guest
This is a great photo of Berlin's Brandenburg Gate in 1938. The finalized body for the beetle has taken shape and the cars are on a promotional run. Not seen is a cabrio, but the sedan and sunroof are.http://curiouspresbyterian.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/the-very-first-beetles-of-the-preproduction-series-vw-38-roll-onto-the-streets-in-front-of-berlins-brandenburg-gate-in-1938.jpgHere is a picture of Dr. Porsche demonstrating the cabriolet at the 1939 Berlin Auto show;http://www.gstatic.com/hostedimg/28db5290110aa234_landingD. Guest danceswithpumps
Very interesting video especially when you think of 2/3 of the buildings were destroyed and 1/3 of those people were killed by 1945 by the end of WWII.Thanks for posting.Rod van Pelt
Guest Casper Friedrich
Interesting to compare it with the 1927 film Berlin: Die Symphonie der Grossstadt
