fcarnut Posted January 4, 2012 Share Posted January 4, 2012 Might be a '68 or '69. The '67 still had the open bumpers with supports and the later had single bar supported bumpers. However, a close examination of an enlarged image reveals that the car has a rear window defogger, which was introduced by VW in 1969. Thus, my guess is 1969 or 1970. Grandpa Posted February 13, 2012 Share Posted February 13, 2012 As pointed out by others, the hood and inside rear view mirror are 1965-1967 VW bug. However, it seems unlikely that the person who modified the car would install a rear window defogger system.
