Here we have an American Steam Automobile condenser. A alloy

shell goes with it,, This could be adapted to a suitable steam project.

Next is an original STANLEY 735-740 condenser

Remember this is a Garage sale/clearance and this is the stuff the kerby rejected :P

cheers,

Ben

I called Ben and discussed (umm, for 1 minute of the hour discussion) the light and bought it.

That's not the good news.

The good news is that Ben is a blast to talk to, and has stories of the fabled car collectors.

Wow, I love this hobby..........

Hi Clincher,,,,the garage was long,,narrow,,and not well lit,,about 1952-3,,,I believe it was a 7 pass,,huge car,, with the 48" hood,, everything appeared original including the top,,the "barn-find" dream,,

There was another 15-48hp that was still in the care of the original chaffeur !!

AAAAAH,,memories,,,,

Someone should collect these storys of where the cars came from,,[exit here, quickley ]]],,,cheers,,Ben

1924 Packard series 143, power plant complete. Is this a project or break it for parts? Let me know what you think. About a ton of parts will be listed shortly with lots of details. This is the very first year of the famous Packard straight 8.

cheers,

The frame is poor,,,but it will roll better on 4 wheels than on a dolly,,

The powerplant is complete,,there are 12ea --20" wheels,+ 4 under the car,,,2 extra rear axles,,1extra front axle,, 2 ea 4speed trans' [ All these parts are 1924--1931 ]] Tell me what you think would be best,,

Top of the line,,,,, W.W.Winship trunk of the roaring 20's! :) I bought this trunk around 1951 and have yet to find the proper car to fit it. I inadvertently damaged the front (as can be seen in the pic) while in full flight down a set of stairs...Ben-0 Trunk-1... :P

dimensions soon... sooner if you request.

cheers,

Steam engine

Ed Clark, Freeport St. Boston turn of the century engine.

bore and stroke 2 1/2 X 3 1/2

Clark was competitor to Mason and Whitney

This engine is a nice find but needing a few details; internal steam leak we found to be a missing piston ring, and part of the reverse linkage has come detached

note the marine big end bearings

engine has original sprocket and everything moves freely

Ben, I talked to you a few months back about the Packard roller. But I am WAY out here on the wrong coast and it just is way crazy to have it hauled here so I can get the missing parts for the 24 and 25 Packards I have in restoration. Really PAINS me to see it sitting there so far away. DANG.

I could also use a couple 21" disc wheels for the 2nd series Packard project.
