Guest dstaton
I need each, left and right, C moldings that hold the aluminum sheet at the very front of the fender. They go from the top strip around through the verticle to the bottom at the wheel well.I no longer need the script.

Guest dstaton
Do you have the stainless bead strip that runs along the crest of the aluminum band for the right rear quarter panel?
Guest shovel55
I did not know there was a piece going down the center of the aluminum piece is that what you mean
rocketraider
Depends on when the car was built. The bead molding was added to the door and quarter trim panels a couple months into production because of owner complaints about door dings tearing up the side panels. Early cars don't have it, cars built after about mid-October 61 do.
Guest dstaton
Any advice, Glenn? Are there any known interchanges, ie., a long Buick or Cadillac equivalent that might be adjusted? In your experience, is this a salvage search, or a jobber search? rocketraider
The big ribbed unobtainium molding. Not gonna be an easy piece to find. If you don't get any leads here come see us on www.classicoldsmobile.com. There's also a sizable Starfire community there. Also search here for starfireelvis posts. Mike has had several 62s and may have a spare, or know someone who does.

Guest mcarthur
I need the right side, but looks as if the left will mount on the right. There is a difference but should be better than no molding.Condition:As good as possible, but again a decent one is better than none. How much do you want and is it possible to send me a picture?Thank You! starfireelvis
I did at one time have a set, but sold them at Spring Carlisle a couple years back. They did pop up on eBay from time to time, but that was before they started putting ten times worth of unrelated crap on there that make it hard as heck to find... Oldsfan
My washboard molding is for the driver's side. Looks like I sold the passenger's side molding shortly after parting a car a number of years ago. They are different side to side, and I don't believe they will interchange. The apex of the curve is toward the top of the molding, not in the center.Paul
